Foie Gras

Nearly eight years ago, former Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger introduced a ban on foie gras in California. With an eight year grace period, the ban will go into effect this July.

This hilariously sarcastic video pretty much lays out the argument taken by the proponents of the ban:

Meanwhile chefs and restauranteurs are generally up in arms. Famous advocate for foie gras everywhere Anthony Bourdain has the following to say:

I don’t need to point out that the two videos document the same process but come to very different conclusions.
